SL Residents take months to plan for Halloween, myself included. When I was told I’d be spending 12 hours celebrating, of course my 1st thought was “What will I wear”? After endless hours of shopping, armed with a case of Redbull & a bowl of candy corn, I set out to find the best party on the grid.
I began the day at “Octoberville” a fun location with “everything Halloween” .Hay rides, pumpkin hunts, spook house, the works. Although it’s a terrific place, It’s a bit tame for my macabre tastes.
We had a cool pumpkin hunt at TNW East too! Each pumpkin you found held a surprise! After a quick “Happy Halloween” to my child Avi friends/brats Brookie and Cheery (who were tricking more than treating), I decided to TP home, change costumes & move into the “darker” side of a SL Halloween.

Dressed as a freaky vampire zombie, I hit about 15 parties into the early evening. They were rockin hard. Lots of lag but we expect that in SL. I expect that’s why live performers choose not to play this night. Here’s some pics of my fave costumed Residents.

This little girl to the right, was floating above a levitating bed of vomit, in an old haunted house. She freaked me out so bad I TP’d out before getting the name of the sim. If anyone knows who she is, please don’t send her to my office. She’s creepy.

Club Carnage was off the hook all night with a full house. This is one of my fave “haunts” & I ran into many friends including Ortho Vargas, owner of OD Designs. The best music instrument company on the grid!

Dressed in latex, I TP’d over to Psycho Drive Rock Club to party with my fave club owners in SL, 1Road Dagger. Found him dressed as “Dr. McDreamy”. Or was that a costume? Sigh...

Well into the night I was invited to a special Halloween party at Club Jenna. Yes, that’s right, Jenna Jameson owns an island in SL. By far, this party was the BEST party of the night! I changed into more “formal” attire (above) & arrived early enough to explore the island. I quickly found myself lost in the dark mazes of “The Asylum”. The Asylum is a mental institution crawling with patients & scared Avi’s like me. I did find some great prizes while wandering around blind. The Asylum can be quite beautiful but NOT for the weak of heart. Enter with caution!

It was getting close to the bewitching hour so I hurried over to the party at Club Jenna. The building was amazing and I could not help but sneak around to places I shouldn’t. I noticed the map showed no activity in the upstairs area that was “off limits”. Up the elevator I went! There were offices, classrooms, the usual business place you’d expect cept for the HOT photos on the walls. Quite by accident, I found myself standing in Jenna’s personal office!

Back at the party, it was so crowded we could barely move! The welcome table gave out free cake and made for a cool photo spot. The club was filled with VIP’s from SL and Jenna fans. The girl to the left (Lyssa Varun) won $L10,000 for Best Female! I had to agree, it was the best costume on the grid & the prize was the largest I’d seen all night. WTG Lyssa! You scared the hell out of us!!

So I’m dancing & reading profiles as we all do, when I see this giant chicken. He was so big he had to stay to the side of the room. When he spread his wings he covered half the dance floor! Upon closer investigation I was thrilled to see that I was standing next to one of the most famous long time Residents in SL. Stroker Serpentine! If you’ve never heard of him, just google his name. After babbling on about how I was a huge fan of his, I nearly died with excitement when he accepted my offer for friendship! He’s a really nice guy who truly cares about the Residents of SL as well as freedom of expression and copyright protection for digital creations. Turns out, he already knew who I was. He said he was a “fan” of mine! If he just said that to make me feel important it worked! !

Stroker Serpentine is the original creator of the scripted sex-gen bed. He is also known as the human who built the amazing Amsterdam sim and sold it on Ebay for $50,000! He currently owns “Eros Islands”. Stroker is indisputably the “King of SL Porn”, fitting right in at Jenna’s party even as a “chicken”. His recent copyright court actions could change laws that will forever protect all creators from theft not only in SL but in all virtual worlds. Stroker, you’re the best!

After Jenna’s party, I still had several costumes I hadn’t worn. It was after midnight, I was totally strung out, so I went to a party dressed as a beer.
I came sooo close to winning this contest! 2nd place! Everyone said “Roxi, dress HOT or dress SCARY but nooooooo, I HAD to be a beer. Go figure.
That ends my 1st Halloween in SL. I’m already making plans for what to be next year! Next time, I will NOT be a beer.

Lastly, just as in RL, the Christmas shopping stock came out minutes after midnight. Some things never change.

OCTOBER WAS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH.
|
|
|
|
|
|
During the month of October, there were several fund raising events in SL. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Resident’s wore pink hair. I love this hair from “Bewitched” (Style: Diva) I’ll be wearing it at every “Best In Pink” event this year!
