Preparing Our Backyard for a Playhouse
This year we decided to get our kids a playhouse for Christmas. As we only have so much space in our garden, we decided to explore a different way to garden that would reduce the amount of space needed for the garden so we could set up the playhouse for the kids. This is where I discovered square foot gardening.
Our neighbors recently chopped down two huge trees that used to suck up all the water from our backyard which as always made gardening futile. Now that I know about the square foot gardening method, I am looking forward to building the raised beds that don’t rely on our poor soil in the backyard.
Another thing that makes this gardening method great, is that you use a soilless mixture to grow the seeds in which won’t require any weeding on my part. It provides optimum growth for the seeds which will result in a great harvest.
